Power Up Services began in 2004 with small jobs found through Craigslist and gig-work opportunities. The purpose from the outset was to earn income to fund the Empowerment Project.
Honest work, transparent pricing, repeat customers, and referrals helped a small beginning grow into a professional service company. Long-term customer relationships and community purpose continue to guide the work.
The Empowerment Project began with technology access and education: refurbished computers, computer repairs, technology education, and help for parents navigating online school systems. The aim was to give children and families practical access to the digital world.
As Power Up Services grew, that support expanded to accessibility ramps, yard cleanup, overgrown landscaping removal, home-safety improvements, and home maintenance.
We still provide free handyman services to older adults, people with disabilities, and people with limited means. Tell us about the situation so we can discuss what assistance may be possible.
Our own in-house team handles our services, looking at how the different parts of a property work together. Homeowners, business owners, property managers, and rental hosts work directly with Power Up Services.
A gas fireplace troubleshooting job illustrates that approach: an electrician thought the issue was gas-related, while a gas technician thought it was electrical. The problem involved both systems. Understanding the whole problem matters.

We invested in advanced training, certifications, improved systems, and expanded capabilities to strengthen how we serve customers. The Powered Up Team reflects those improvements in our website and marketing identity.
Power Up Services remains our company name. The purpose is the same: useful work, clear communication, and support for the homes and communities we serve.
